The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts will celebrate 100 years of changing lives with a series of unique events taking place each year between 2010 and 2012. For the first time ever Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world will participate in a world forum.
The first Young Women’s World Forum takes place in the United Kingdom in October 2010, and is open to two young women aged 18 to 25 from each Member Organization.
Who is invited to the 2010 Young Women’s World Forum?
All WAGGGS Member Organizations are being invited to send two delegates to the Young Women’s World Forum, who are:
- Young women aged 18 to 25 (at least 18 by 1 October 2010 and still under 26 years old on 31 October 2010)
- Active members of their organization, but do not need to have attended any previous WAGGGS events
- Very good French, English or Spanish speakers to be able to contribute and benefit fully from the Forum
- Committed to running projects or programmes as a follow-up to the Forum
Registration is now open and will take place through a Member Organization’s International Commissioner. If you are a young woman aged between 18 and 25 and a member of WAGGGS and would like to attend the event, please contact your International Commissioner (Aya - Astghik Zakaryan - aya@astgik.org ).
