"Stop the Violence, speak out for girls' rights"

In 2011 WAGGGS officially launched the global campaign "Stop the Violence, speak out for girls' rights" to empower girls and young women to develop the skills and confidence to claim their rights and the rights of others to prevent and combat violence against women and girls.
The Europe Region WAGGGS is organising a seminar to support Member Organizations in the Europe Region to get involved in the campaign. This seminar will be held in Antwerp, Belgium from the 29 November through 4 December 2012.
It is important to note that thanks to the support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, 70% of travel costs will be reimbursed.

Gold Project 2012 Գյումրիում: Օր 1

Եվ այսպես, սկսվեց Gold Project 2012 Գյումրիում: Նախորդ գիշերը Ագնեսի ու Աննայի հետ խմբագրեցինք մեր` մնացած աղջիկների օգնությամբ անգլերենից հայերեն թարգմանված նյութերը:

Առավոտյան գնացինք "Բեռլին" հյուրանոց` մեր բրիտանացի գայդերի հետևից, որ ուղեկցենք դեպի Գեղագիտական ազգային կենտրոնի Գյումրիի մասնաճյուղ, որտեղ էլ անցնելու էր սեմինարը:

Հաշվի առնելով Շիրակի մարզի պահպանողական հայացքները՝ ես անչափ վախենում էի, որ ոչ ոք չի գա: Սակայն նախատեսված տասներկու մասնակիցների փոխարեն եկել էին քսանհինգը:

Անկեղծ՝ սուրճի ընդմիջումից հետո մի քանիսը գնացին, սակայն մասնակիցները շատ էին ու անչափ ոգեշնչված թե՛ պարապմունքով, թե՛ մեր կազմակերպությունով: Նույնիսկ ընքացքում մեր Գոլդի աղջիկներին  սովորեցնում էին քոչարի պարել ;Ճ

Happy Children's Day

In Armenia, the Children's Day is celebrated on 1 June. The tradition to celebrate the Children's Day on 1 June was inherited from the times of the Soviet Union. Usually on this day a lot of entertainment activities are organized for and with children across the country. Children's Day also presents good opportunity for organizations such as UNICEF to advocate for children's rights in different platforms and fora. The celebrations of Children's Day also continue beyond June 1 and numerous NGOs organize various events, including fundraising with participation of renowned singers, movie stars, governmental and public persons as well as top-ranking officials.

Այսօր կայացավ ԱՍԳԱՄ "Աստղիկ"-ի ընտրական համագումարը: Ներկայացվեցին աշխատանքային հաշվետվություններ, քննարկվեցին միավորման աշխատանքներին վերաբերող հարցեր և ամենակարևորն ընտրվեց միավորման նոր ազգային խորհուրդը: Շնորհավորենք միավորման խորհրդի նոր անդամներին և ցանկանանք բեղմնավոր աշխատանք:

International Skype badge swapping with York UK

Hello From Girl Guiding UK - North East England - York!

York City is hosting a Thinking Day Celebration on Wednesday 22nd February. I am organising an international badge swap over Skype and I wondered if you knew anyone who might be interested in taking part?

This is how it works:

You will need access to skype and a webcam.
You will be given a time between 6pm and 7.30pm UK time for Wednesday 22nd February, where I will contact you on Skype. Then you will play rock, paper, scissors with a UK Rainbow/Brownie/Guide so there is some interaction and then you can swap a badge.
The UK Guides will place a badge down to take part and all the badges given for your time on skype will be posted to you. I would then like you to post the badges you want to swap to me so I can post them to the Guide units in the UK that took part.

What I would like from you:

If you know someone who is interested in having a go, they can be a leader or a guide, can you send them this email and ask them to email me back with:

Their name, roughly where they live, their age, there skype address and the number of badges they would like to swap.

I will then contact them directly with my postal address and skype contact details and arrange a time for them to skype on the day.

Աղջիկ սկաուտների և գայդերի Աստղիկ ազգային միավորման Աբովյանի մասնաճյուղի անդամներին շատ էր ոգևորել տեղացող ձյան առատությունը: Հերթական պարապմունքից հետո նրանք որոշեցին օգտվել այդ հանգամանքից և մի մեծ ձնեմարդ պատրաստել` օգտագործելով առատ ձյունն ու ձեռքի տակ եղած պարագաները: Հանպատրաստից ընդունված որոշումն ի կատար ածելու համար ընտրվեց հարմար վայր` քաղաքապետարանի դիմահայաց հրապարակը, և գայդերն անցան գործի: Երկու ժամ հետո` արդեն երեկոյան կողմ, մոտ երկու մետրանոց ձնեմարդը պատրաստ էր: Գայդերը ուրախ և հետաքրքիր ժամանակ անցկացրին` զարմացնելով անցորդներին և գոհ մնալով իրենց աշխատանքից ու բացօթյա պարապմունքից:
