Esperanto-scouts Seminar in Poland

ZHP (Polish Scouting and Guiding Association), along with SEL (Scout Esperanto League) and TEJO (Worldwide Association of Young Esperantists), organises a training seminar for youth leaders on the topic: Building on Diversity – how to get the best from the inter-organisational youth cooperation?.

The seminar will take place in Warsaw (Poland) on 24-30 May 2011 (with 24 and 30 May for travel purposes). The programme includes interactive workshops on modern and effective ways of organising youth using the theme of diversity and equality in the international context. Participants will learn the practical methods and measures about the inter-cultural work and the application of the Council of Europe’s toolbox in their work. In addition, through a series of activities participants will enhance their leadership skills as well.

We would like to invite young scout or guide leaders (up to 30 years old) with a clear interest in the topic of diversity and equality and the international cooperation. With Esperanto as a working language we welcome all youth leaders with an interest in learning or practicing such international auxiliary language. For those wishing to attend, an Esperanto crash course (online/skype) will be offered to equip them with the basic Esperanto comprehension skills to enable unaided communication.
Thanks to the grant from the European Youth Foundation we can invite up to 30 participants and cover accommodation expenses and contribute to the travel costs. The Participant’s Fee is only 70 Euro (for European nationals) or 100 Euro (for non-Europeans) for a 5-day training programme. Due to limited number of places we will have to select participants using the criteria on the Registration Form to ensure the balance of nationalities, gender and potential contribution to the programme. The deadline to submit Registration Forms is 31 March 2011 so early registration is highly recommended.

More information, along with the detailed programme, eligibility criteria and the registration form, will be available on this website soon or by contacting the Organising Committee at:
